Home Alone…with the Kids

This Thursday my lovely wife and 7 others head to Africa to help provide some relief to people in poverty and with AIDS in Jos, Nigeria. I will be at home with all 3 kids, alone. Harrison (6 years) is in school so I think he will be fine. However Madison (4 years) and Bryson (2 years) will be with me all day, every day. (I would pray for them if I were you. Just Kidding!)

Seriously I anticipate having a good two weeks with my kids, but I don’t anticipate it will be easy. Consistently watching them, doing laundry, cleaning the home, cooking meals, playing together and getting them cleaned up and ready for bed will make me appreciate so much the job that Lanette does every single day. I am also excited to be a “single parent” for a season because it will also help me realize what many of my friends go through every day of every year. Bottom line- this will be a hard experience but one that I anticipate will bring lots of rewards.
